Who This Program Is For
This program is designed for drivers with prior commercial driving experience within the last 2 to 3 years who want to re-enter the trucking industry. To participate you must have:
- A current DOT physical and drug screen
- A current CDL or CDL permit
Program Structure
CDL refresher training to help you polish your trucking career skills and get back in the driver’s seat. Our refresher program is designed for drivers with prior driving experience within the last 2-3 years. And you need to have a current DOT physical, drug screen and a current CDL or CDL permit to participate in our CDL refresher training program.
This truck driving refresher course program is all hands-on driving and is designed to reintroduce drivers to the trucking industry. Job placement assistance is available for qualifying graduates. Classroom Training
40 hours of classroom instruction will prepare you for the written portions of your CDL exam. Our instructors work closely with each student to make sure you’re confident and ready.
Behind-the-Wheel Training
Diamond 7 will help you practice your driving skills on local streets, highways, and busier interstate roads — the same types of roads you’ll encounter during your CDL exam and on the job.
What You’ll Practice
- Pre-trip vehicle inspections
- Backing maneuvers — offset, parallel, and straight-line
- Bobtail operation
- Local, highway, and interstate road driving
- CDL skills test preparation
Eligibility Requirements
- Must have prior commercial driving experience within the last 2 to 3 years
- Must hold a current CDL or CDL permit
- Must have a current DOT physical and drug screen on file
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must complete an admissions interview with a school-authorized representative

Graduation Requirements
To receive your Certificate of Completion you must:
- Score 80% or higher in theory and behind-the-wheel evaluations
- Maintain 80% or higher attendance throughout the program
- Satisfy all financial obligations to the school
