Admissions & Tuition
To be admitted to Diamond 7 CDL Academy, all applicants must meet the following requirements.
Admission Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age (21+ required to drive interstate — pre-hire agreement required if under 21)
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Pass a DOT Physical Examination and Drug Test
- Complete an interview with a school-authorized representative
Prior to enrolling, prospective students will receive information about their selected program and have the opportunity to tour our facility. Instructors are typically on-site to answer questions.

Enrollment Steps
- Complete the admissions application (online or in person)
- Schedule and complete an interview with our admissions team
- Submit required documents: valid driver’s license, proof of residency, and completed DOT physical and drug test
- Sign your enrollment agreement and receive your School Catalog
- Attend new student orientation to learn program details, class schedule, and campus policies

Attendance Policy
Attendance is recorded for every class session. Students are expected to arrive on time and remain for the full class period.
- Maximum absences: 4 total for the entire program
- Maximum absences per week: 2
- Arriving more than 30 minutes late counts as an absence
- Leaving more than 30 minutes early counts as an absence
- Exceeding absence limits will result in withdrawal from the program
Students absent due to personal illness, court appearances, or other emergencies may request an excused absence by notifying the school and providing documentation.
Class Schedule
Classes are offered on two schedules to accommodate working students:
- Day Classes: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (10-minute break every hour)
- Evening Classes: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM (10-minute break every hour)
New cohorts begin every week (except on observed holidays). Classes are offered Monday through Sunday depending on program and availability.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate and receive a Diploma of Completion, students must:
- Achieve a score of 80% or higher in both theory (written) and behind-the-wheel training
- Maintain 80% or higher attendance throughout the program
- Pass the CDL skills test and receive their CDL license
- Hold a committed pre-hire agreement from a trucking company (where applicable)
- Satisfy all financial obligations to the school
